We don't have that many self-help books on the program. There are just so many of them, how do I decide? This one with the name I cannot say on the radio deserved some air time. The author doesn't dance around the issues. I liked that!

~WYSO Vick Mickunas' interview
with Patricia Ciambro
Well, I read your book. So, brace yourself for a big critique: I loved it! Also, my friend from Atlanta, Ann, visited with me for a couple of days, and while I was getting ready to go out, she saw your book on the counter, and started to read. When I came back, she said I want this book! and then she started pointing out how it applies to her family members, saying she must circulate the book in her family. Very funny. So, she is buying it on Amazon. Word of mouth is powerful.

Patricia (Patti) Ciambro lives in Dayton, OH. Born in 1954, married and has one daughter and a white toy poodle named Zsa Zsa.
Patti received both her undergraduate degree (B.S) in Education and graduate degree (M.S.) in Counseling from the University of Dayton. She has 5 current licensures - Elementary Education (42 years), School Counselor (36 years), Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) (32 years), International Certification and Reciprocity (ICCS) (32 years), and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (31 years). Patti has worked as a teacher for 10 years, a therapist at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for 10 years, a substance abuse counselor at Oakwood Schools for 7 years, and at many other mental health/substance abuse institutions over the years. Additionally, she has taught and counseled in college & university settings and also maintains a private practice. In her free time, Patti enjoys her friends, plays tennis, and travels.
Patti wrote Bullshit 101 (a self-help book for normal and quasi-normal people) because she has over 40 years of professional experience and has a lot to say. She is “tired of people diagnosing themselves via the Internet or, perhaps even worse, being correctly diagnosed by a doctor and not doing anything about it. People sometimes use their diagnosis to keep doing crazy things or not changing their bad behavior.” She likes to quote a psychiatrist that she once heard at a seminar: “Only healthy people take their meds and go to therapy.” In Bullshit 101 you will find 26 therapeutic and humorous chapters:
A sequel to this book, Bullshit 102 (what the f*** is wrong with you?), is in progress. In it, the author promises a humorous but true collaboration of her like-minded colleagues’ thoughts on normalcy.
Patti’s stated goal for these books is to help people hone their coping skills, discern dangerous elements in relationships, and raise the bar for human behavior.
